Staying Safe on the Bike Trails
Now that the weather is warming up and the sun is finally coming out, it’s the perfect time to get out of the house and get some fresh air. But whether you’re out for your morning bike ride or evening stroll, there’s bound to be more traffic on the trails and walkways from other users as well. Jake Newborn with the Wisconsin Bike Federation joins us with tips for sharing pathways and being safe, including a demonstration on what safe biking on the trail should look like. He also explains a new program called "Active Streets Milwaukee" that provides more recreation space for social distancing. For more information about “Active Streets Milwaukee,” visit their website here. And to support making biking better for people of all ages and abilities, you can join the Wisconsin Bike Federation at WisconsinBikeFed.org. (Membership comes with a free “Bikes are Essential” magnet!)
