With many schools being closed for the last portion of the year, PBS KIDS is bringing a new series to your television to keep your children from the “COVID-19 Slide.” Carol-Lynn Parente, Co-Creator and Executive Producer of “Hero Elementary,” shares how the new educational series is like sending your kid to a STEM-powered superhero school through the summer and encouraging kids to make a difference in their own backyards. She also fills us in on community resources to keep families busy during the summer and gives tips on preparing kids for the fall 2020 school year. You can watch the premiere of “Hero Elementary” tonight, June 1, at 7pm CT. And for more information, visit PBSKids.org/HeroElementary.
