9-year-old boy fighting leukemia finishes ultra marathon

Daily dose of inspiration: Gabriel, age 9, completed an ULTRA Marathon (52.6 miles) today as part of the Cook Children’s Miles in Motion program. After seeing first-time marathon finisher Joey complete his race in February, Gabriel was motivated to become the new record holder for miles walked and tracked throughout the course of his care. Over the last six months, Gabriel has been fighting acute myeloid leukemia (AML) but is hoping to go home at the end of the month and be reunited with his dad and siblings!
