A tiger that had created havoc by raiding human territories and killing cattle heads was captured by Indian Forest Department on May 19.

The massive adult tiger had been terrorising several villages in Kodagu district in South India. It had allegedly killed as many as 75 cattle and triggered panic in the region.

Following many complaints, Forest Department officials led by Dr. Sanath Krishna Muliya captured the tiger in a late night operation. The animal will be released in deep forest away from human habitat, said forest officials.
