A string of recent satellite photos of Kim Jong Un's luxury coastal resort are adding to growing speculation that the North Korean may be alive.
The North Korean-monitoring website NK Pro reported that recent commercial satellite imagery showed leisure boats often used by Kim near his exclusive villa in Wonsan.
The revelation comes days after satellite photos also showed what is probably Kim’s personal train parked at a railway platform reserved for his use near the villa in Wonsan, according to researchers at 38 North, a North Korean monitoring group.
Rumors have been swirling worldwide about Kim's health or even if he alive.
Taiwan’s intelligence chief Chiu Kuo-cheng, the director of the National Security Bureau, said Thursday that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is “sick,” according to Taiwan News.
Earlier this week, South Korean officials say they know Kim Jong Un’s location.
“The government is aware of Kim Jong Un’s location” Unification Minister Kim Yeon-chul said when asked directly in a parliamentary session on Tuesday, without elaborating, Bloomberg reports.
But earlier reports from the Seoul-based news site Daily NK reported April 20 that he was recovering from surgery, citing an unidentified person inside the country.
The last time official media in North Korea reported on Kim's whereabouts was when he presided over a meeting on April 11.
