With much of the country under stay-at-home orders, couples who have had their weddings cancelled or postponed are getting married over Zoom.
And it's getting easier in these states.
Gov. Phil Murphy will be signing an executive orders Friday to allow for virtual weddings in light of social distancing due to the new coronavirus.
The new order would allow wedding ceremonies to be held using video-conferencing technology, with certain safeguards, for couples seeking a marriage license.
New Jersey's move has followed other hard-hit states.
On Thursday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed an executive order allowing Californians to obtain marriage licenses via teleconferencing. Last month,
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a directive where couples can obtain their marriage license remotely, and clerks can conduct ceremonies virtually.
