A ‘Plus Size Diva’, Carmen Rene, is tackling the stigma attached to plus-size people by promoting a message of inclusivity. Carmen Rene, 31, is the co-host of the Plus Size Divas, an LA-based weekly talk show promoting body acceptance and self-love. The body-positive influencer, who embraces her curves and her lymphedema, talks about her recent clothing hauls, trends for the summer, and how she combines her style with her lymphedema garments. Carmen told Truly: “Summer can be a very challenging time for anybody who suffers from negative body image. It’s really important to me to help everybody to feel comfortable in their skin and these amazing beautiful worthy bodies that look back at us in the mirror every day. No matter what your size is, what your gender is, you are good enough and you are worthy just as you are. We should be embracing our bodies, dressing them however makes us feel empowered and beautiful and really not letting our body image and negative body image stop us from reaching our goals and being our best selves.”
