US Education Secretary Betsy DeVos is trying to use the coronavirus relief legislation to advance her department's agenda.
Business Insider reports that most of DeVos longstanding policy goals have stalled.
DeVos is a longtime advocate for school choice.
She has never attended nor worked for a public school.
The NY Times reports she's using the CARES Act to move millions from public schools to private institutions and homeschooling.
DeVos has already allocated more than half-a-billion dollars to support private K-12 schools and colleges.
