Humane Mousetrap Backfires Upon Release
Occurred on May 1, 2020 / Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
Info from Licensor: "This mouse had been eating the food dropped by our 1-year-old daughter for weeks when we finally caught it with a live trap. My 6-year-old son thought it was very cute and wanted to keep it as a pet. I explained to him that it would be happy outside. I had nothing but goodwill for the little guy and I was totally oblivious to any birds of prey nearby. When I saw the mouse get caught by the bird I was already in the process of shutting off the video and was ready to head back to the house. When I returned to the house my son was weeping and I had to explain to him that the hawk needs to eat too. He told me that when he grew up he would kill all the birds and that bird was a dumbass bird."
