YouTube musician Peter Hollens is trying to promote mindful hygiene during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as to raise money to aid vulnerable communities.
Hollens said he got the idea after looking at the CDC hygiene guidelines on handwashing.
"I was like, well, maybe if I didn't know how to wash my hands as a 40 year old then, I bet I could teach other people how to do it," Hollens told The Pods Honest Truth's David Brody.

"I started creating this viral video with my team and it was the one thing that gave us something to focus on that was good and inspirational positive that allowed us to kind of release the anxiety we were all feeling," he said.
The video parody features pop songs from the likes of Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, and Taylor Swift — with lyrics that encourage viewers to wash hands, avoid touching their faces, and cough into their elbows.
Hollens is best known for his a cappella videos on YouTube and Facebook.

All proceeds from this song will be donated to GlobalGiving’s Relief Fund.
