This is the moment a fire brigade captain is given standing applause by his fire crew and ambulance staff as he is discharged after a severe COVID-19 infection that put him in a coma for two weeks.
Captain Patrick Wallaert, 52, who is the fire station boss in the town of Eeklo in the Belgian province of East Flanders had been hospitalised at the AZ Alma for a month by the disease.
