Quebec's COVID-19 Case Count Jumps To Over 19k With 62 More Deaths Reported

Premier François Legault delayed his daily public update today, leaving the 1 p.m. slot for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who held a press conference about the Nova Scotia shooting that resulted in the killing of at least 17 people. During the briefing, which began at 1:30 p.m. instead, Legault informed the public that as of April 20, there are now a total of 19,319 COVID-19 cases in Quebec. On the previous day, April 19, there were 18,357 confirmed cases announced.
