Sleepy lion cub purrs happily as he gets petted

Aslan is a very happy little lion cub who is living in a foster home. He was born at a wonderful zoo in Ontario, Canada, but at such a young age and vulnerable size, he is better in the care of his foster mother than he is with the other lions in his zoo for the next few weeks. At this age, Aslan loves to cuddle with his foster family. He wanders around the house like a big housecat. After a day of playing and exploring, Aslan gets sleepy and he lies down wherever he feels like sleeping.

Aslan also enjoys being petted and a little stroking of his soft fur had him purring like a contented housecat. He drifted off to sleep with what appeared to be an adorable grin on his face.

Aslan was named after the heroic lion character in the Chronicles of Narnia. He will grow into a large and majestic lion in the months to come, but for now, he is small and cute, like a stuffed toy. Aslan is also spotted at this age, although his fur will change colour as he matures. Aslan will return to join the other lions when he is a little older. He will socialize with his own kind and live in a large, forested area with lots of room and excellent care.
