Researchers in Massachusetts and Italy, are investigating a well-known medical treatment as a possible COVID-19 treatment.
Clinical trials have begun in order to find out whether inhaled nitric oxide can save critically ill patients from COVID-19.
According to Gizmodo, the treatment may even be used preventatively to keep health care workers infection-free.
Nitric oxide, or NO, is a key part of our biology and not the same as nitrous oxide, or laughing gas.
