Hip hop - the music, dance, art, and fashion phenomenon is getting its own museum.
The museum's permanent home will be in the birthplace of the genre; the "boogie-down" Bronx.
The museum was dreamed up by rappers Kurtis Blow, Africa Bamba, and Grand Master Melly Mel.
Other rapper-producer-entrepreneurs have since become partners in the project, including Nas, Ice-T and LL Cool J.
