These images show a concerned passenger calling the rickety old biplane they are about to travel in a “devil plane” before shocking footage from inside the cabin shows how it plummets to the ground straight after takeoff.
The incident took place in the city of Magadan in the far-eastern Russian region of Magadan Oblast when the group was about to board an Antonov An-2, a Soviet mass-produced single-engine biplane.
According to local media, the plane was transporting workers to the nearby village of Seymchan and was carrying 14 people in total.
