BORN with type III osteogenesis imperfecta - otherwise known as brittle bone disease - Haley Lapkin has broken around 200 bones in her lifetime. Haley, who is just 2ft 10" tall, told Barcroft TV: “I have probably one of the most severe cases of brittle bone disease”. In 2009, Haley met her wife Angie on an online dating site. “Angie actually was the one who reached out to me, that was unexpected because I’m usually the pursuer," said Haley. The couple were in a long-distance relationship for about a year before they decided to meet. “Our first visit together, it just felt like a connection,” explained Haley. Soon after that, Angie moved in with Haley. Eventually, Haley proposed to Angie while in hospital. “I planned on proposing to her that Christmas, but she beat me to it, she must have known somehow,” Angie said. With 2,000 followers and counting, today the couple run their very own YouTube vlog, 'Angie and Haley Present', where they talk about being in a queer interabled relationship. Haley, who resides in Oregon, USA, said: “It’s to show other people in similar situations who don’t think that they’re worthy of love or that they’ll find love, that love is possible."
