Stars from 'Jesus Christ Superstar' inspire future stars
'Jesus Christ Superstar' has been resurrected on stage at Shea's Performing Arts Center for a new generation. James Delisco Beeks who plays Judas in the production and a few other cast members performed one of the numbers from the show for a group of theatre pros and theatre students. The mini morning performance was followed up with a question and answer session. The actors shared their history and gave tips to the future performers. James says "I really want to inspire the younger generation to do what they dream to do like I did." Theatre major Ashley DiPasquale says that the event was "definitely inspiring", adding "it's wonderful to hear how they all came from different places and were able to overcome their fears and love what they do." This 50th Anniversary of Jesus Christ Superstar runs through Sunday. You can get details at the Shea's website.
