$20M Hotel Covington expansion will bring more jobs, bourbon to NKY

Ten-year-old Bryce George knows how lucky he is, he said Friday night. Although he’s had type 1 diabetes since he was a toddler, his family can afford to take care of him — both his parents have insurance, allowing them to purchase the insulin he needs to balance his blood sugar for only about $100 each month. A planned extension of Hotel Covington will bring $20 million and 100 new jobs to downtown Covington, cementing the area’s status as what Mayor Joe Meyer calls “an overnight success based on the back of 40 years’ blood, sweat and tears to try to get things right.”
