Nestle Adds Vegan Sausage To Their Lineup Unlisted Video
CNN Business reports that Nestlé, the world's largest food company, has made a move to stay competitive.
They have added vegan sausage to their food offering lineup.
Starting in March, the Swiss company will offer the sausage in 11 different European markets, under their Garden Gourmet brand.
They will be soy-based bratwurst and chorizo-style sausages.
In April, Nestlé will start selling pea protein-based Sweet Earth sausages in the U.S. in flavors like habanero cheddar and Asian ginger scallion.
They will also add meat-alternative deli meats to their offerings in the U.S., which already include burgers and schnitzel.
On Friday, Nestle added, "Compared to a pork-based sausage, a soy-based sausage can account for roughly 90% less CO2, 90 percent less water and 80% less land use."
