City of Cincinnati, school board reach tax agreement

Before the deal, Cincinnati Public Schools was receiving 25-27% of the property tax value “in lieu of taxes” on abated properties. The new deal increases that to 33%. On the other hand, the city will not pay a $5 million lump sum annually which it was making before.
