Flynn case in a tizzy after withdrawal of guilty plea Unlisted Video
A federal judge Thursday agreed to postpone former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s sentencing for another month.
Politico reports US District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan is considering Flynn's recent request to withdraw his guilty plea over false statements to the FBI.
The new sentencing hearing is set for Feb. 27th, 2020. Lawyers were given new deadlines to explain their views on Flynn's unusual move.
Flynn formally told Sullivan on Monday he wanted out of the plea deal he’d reached with then-special counsel Robert Mueller’s office in late 2017.
That decision comes months after Flynn shifted to a more confrontational defense strategy.
Flynn has hired new lawyers and is fighting with federal prosecutors over planned testimony in a related criminal case.
