German Chancellor Angela Merkel said “everything humanly possible” must be done to fight climate change. Merkel admitted she would not “live long enough to witness the worst effects of global warming.” She said it’s future generations who will have to face the consequences “of what we do or don’t do.” According to the HuffPost, Germany’s coalition government agreed on a $60 billion climate policy package.
