Gender swap remakes, female centric films, and female led action films all bombed in 2019.
"Charlie's Angels" cost $60-million and only earned $8-million opening weekend.
"The Hustle" was a gender-swap remake of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." It proved to be one of the worst of 2019.
"Book Smart" was critically acclaimed but it lost its studio and distributor tens of millions of dollars.
"Late Night" was meant to make Mindy Kailing a movie star.
