Vaping among America’s youth is skyrocketing. A recent study found that more than 4 million high school students and another million middle schoolers nationwide, are using e-cigarettes—or ‘vapes’—in 2019. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as of 2018, using e-cigarettes increased 78% among high-school students and 48% among middle-schoolers and there are no signs of stopping. Lung pathologist Dr. Timothy Craig Allen joins us to discuss the vaping crisis and offer advice to parents.
