AK Steel purchased by Cleveland-Cliffs

Cleveland Cliffs did say it expects to consolidate some corporate roles in the merger, but did not say what that might mean for jobs in West Chester. The company says it plans to keep that office open. West Chester Township says it is waiting to learn more about any possible impact the deal might have. The deal still needs to be approved by shareholders and regulatory agencies, but the companies expect it to be finalized in the first half of the next year.
