President Donald Trump recognized World AIDS Day on Twitter and Democrats criticized him. They pointed out that his administration's proposed budget for 2020 would cut funding for global HIV programs. On Twitter, he said: “The First Lady and I express our support for those living with HIV/AIDS and mourn the lives lost.” According to the Huffington Post, Trump also said his administration wants to end AIDS in 10 years. He wrote: “American leadership has proven that together we can save lives.”
