Welcome to Britain's most festive pub - which has been transformed into 'The Gingerbread Inn' with 60,000 fairy lights and a 22ft snowman made of beer bottles. The Queen Victoria Inn on the Mendip Hills in Somerset has undergone a magical makeover inspired by Hansel and Gretel. A team of four people took eight days to cover the exterior walls in gingerbread men, sweets, candy canes and 60,000 bulbs fed by 5km of wiring. Landlord Mark Walton, 52, started the tradition four years ago in aid of the Children's Hospice South West charity and raised nearly £5,000 last year. This year he has added a giant snowman in the grounds made out of 2,500 empty bottles.
