Newly published children's book from local author was written thirty years ago
Paul Chimera of Town of Tonawanda is retired from his career as a journalist, advertising copywriter, teacher and freelancer. He finally got around to publishing his first children's book. He wrote 'Captain Draggin's Unstoppable Flying Machine' for his daughters. He says "That was my first foray into children's books." and adds "it just flowed out of me." The colorful, action packed piece is an obvious kid pleaser. The book was just published in October but Paul says he wrote it thirty years ago. He admits "I more or less forgot about it." He pulled it out recently, found a publisher and the book is now available on Amazon & Barnes & Noble websites. Paul plans to present the book to his oldest daughter Catherine who lives in Florida. It will be a wedding gift when she gets married in December. Until then he'll try to keep the surprise from her. Paul says "I think she's going to be pretty happy, pretty surprised."
