Director Alma Har'el Talks About First Getting Shia LaBeouf's Script

Alma Har’el recently spoke out about Shia LaBeouf, saying she understands more why he can be aggressive. She said after his diagnosis of PTSD, “a lot of the anger and aggression that happened in his past make sense." According to Business Insider, LaBeouf’s PTSD comes from his troubled childhood with his father. He took that time in rehab being counseled as inspiration to write a script based on his life. Har’el then received the script with no notice and knew she “had to make this film.”
