Stingray vs Great White Shark to grab the bait first!

A first in 7000 shark cage diving trips" is how owner of Marine Dynamics, Wilfred Chivell described the unusual sighting of a massive stingray at the Marine Dynamics shark cage diving boat, Slashfin, on Friday. It was believed to be a short tail stingray (Dasyatis brevicavelata) that appeared to purposefully go for the bait ahead of the great white shark!!! Stingrays are benthic (they live on the seafloor) and a sighting like this is extremely rare and even more special to record !!! The marine biologists speculate that the only reason it survived is because it was n small shark and a BIG stingray!
