Patriotic pub-goers swapped pints for paint brushes to decorate the outside of their boozer with giant poppies ahead of Remembrance Day.

Pub landlord Danni Molloy decided to give The Blacksmith Arms a makeover after punters suggested a tribute to the fallen.

The 28-year-old, who took over the pub in Kingsley Holt, Staffs., last year, suggested painting poppies on the outside and the regulars all pitched in to help.

Danni said: “One night a regular asked if we were going to do anything to commemorate Remembrance Day this year and I had no answer.
