Hungry mantis catches and eats bumble bee

Who knew that this insect had such an enormous appetite? Apparently they are ambush predators who prefer to have their prey alive. Once they get close enough they strike promptly. On today's menu there were plenty of chubby insects, but this mantis decided to go for a hard-working bee and wolf it down voraciously!
