NBC26 Storm Shield Forecast

With the mostly clear skies late tonight, and calming winds, temperatures will be dropping rapidly. This will likely give Northeast Wisconsin its first area-wide hard freeze with temperatures by Friday morning in the 20s. The clear skies will let the sun do its thing and warm us into the upper 40s under southwest winds around 5 to 10 mph. The weekend is looking pretty good right now with highs in the lower to mid 50s both Saturday and Sunday under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Things get a bit more dicey turning the page to next week as several potential storm systems take aim at us. The location and track of these potential storms will greatly influence the temperatures we see as well as the precipitation type. It could be all rain, it could be a rain snow mix, or maybe even some areas in Wisconsin, seeing all snow. ....It's that time of year folks. Just remember that we started October off with mid 70s.
