We are starting off our Thursday with some left over cloud cover from the light rainfall that came through last night into real early this morning. Skies will be gradually clearing throughout the day with mostly clear skies anticipated by the late afternoon. Temperatures are going to climb into the mid 40s with a northwest wind around 5 to 10 mph. With the mostly clear skies tonight, and calming winds, temperatures will be dropping rapidly. This will likely give Northeast Wisconsin its first area-wide hard freeze with temperatures by Friday morning in the upper 20s and lower 30s. The clear skies will let the sun do its thing and warm us into the upper 40s under southwest winds around 5 to 10 mph. The weekend is looking pretty good right now with highs in the lower to mid 50s both Saturday and Sunday under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Things get a bit more dicey turning the page to next week as several potential storm systems take aim at us. The location and track of these potential storms will greatly influence the temperatures we see as well as the precipitation type. It could be all rain, it could be a rain snow mix, or maybe even some areas in Wisconsin, seeing all snow. ....It's that time of year folks. Just remember that we started October off with mid 70s.
