Kansas City mayor to propose conversion therapy ban

Mayor Quinton Lucas is working on an ordinance to ban conversion therapy in Kansas City, Missouri. The practice, also known as reparative therapy or "ex-gay" therapy, is a scientifically discredited practice of trying to change someone’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
