Baltimore Group Wants To Unify Community — So They Run Together!
A group in Baltimore is bringing together the black community through running.
It's a busy month for the Black Running Organization. Members have run races in Atlanta and Chicago already. Now, they're gearing up for this weekend's Baltimore Running Festival.
"Let's Grow" are two words with a lot of meaning for the Baltimore running group.
"They (are) usually out there, yelling 'Let's grow, let's grow, we see you sister, we see you brother,' it's really a beautiful experience," runner Intea Deshields said.
People who know the Black Running Organization or B.R.O., in Baltimore are quick to cheer them on by shouting their slogan, "Let's Grow."
"'Let's Grow' as our motto is kind of that indication for people that they can come together with us, that they can be with us and be safe in the spaces that we’ve created," Deshields said.
