Baltimore Residents Call For Surveillance Plane To Fly Over City After 17 People Shot Over Weekend
Some groups are supporting the idea of a surveillance plane to fly over Baltimore after 17 people were shot over the weekend in the city.
Cynthia Bruce, with Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughters, spoke out Monday after a violent weekend in Baltimore left 17 people shot, four fatally, and adding to the more than 270 people killed in Baltimore so far this year.
"We are really devastated. We are really saddened that more mothers are joining this group every day," Bruce said. "We are experiencing too many violent murders and enough is enough."
Activist Doc Cheatham joined the group that wants to bring surveillance planes back to Baltimore.
"We've got a real issue with crime being totally out of hand at this point, and we have to use every mechanism we can to track it," Cheatham said.
