Gia Danninger and her family know all too well that sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better. Gia, who's now 7 years old, had aplastic anemia and needed chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, both of which can be very tough on a patient. Gia and her mom, Jenna, join us to discuss their road to recovery, along with Dr. Gilbert White from Versiti Blood Research Institute, where they are working on a new field of reserach to find alternative treatments that are less harsh. For more information on Versiti and the latest advancements in treating blood diseases, visit Versiti.org.
