When four workers at the Kavinoky Theatre headed off to Winterset, Iowa in July, they discovered that there was more to it than "cows and corn". The trip was their preparation for an upcoming production of "The Bridges of Madison County." Actors Steve Copps and Michele Benzin along with Director Loraine O'Donnell and photographer Brian Milbrand took a quick trip to Iowa to soak up the atmosphere and take lots of pictures. Loraine says that Madison County was actually "magical" and that pictures and video that Brian took will be incorporated into the production, saying "the entire back wall of the theatre is going to be this live video of Winterset." Steve and Michele thought it was a fun trip, made more fun when they ran into former Buffalo Bills running back Fred Johnson. The actors invited him to see their show and got a photo with him. Steve says "I was star struck." 'Bridges of Madison County' will open at the Kavinoky Theatre in January. Currently they are finishing up their 40th Season opening production 'Hairspray'.
