Arctic foxes change the color of their fur with the seasons. In winter they are white to blend in with the snow, while in the summer they change to brown! The Arctic fox lives in some of the most frigid extremes on the planet but does not start to shiver until the temperature drops to −94 °F. The fur of the Arctic fox provides the best insulation of any mammal. The Arctic fox also has such keen hearing, it can determine exactly where a small animal is moving under the snow.
