NFL holds design challenge to create new helmet

The National Football League is holding an NFL Helmet Challenge, calling on experts, innovators and helmet manufacturers to help create a new helmet for NFL players. Up to $3 million will be available in the challenge, including $2 million in grant funding to support the development of a helmet prototype and a $1 million award.
