Nikki Cheapé is the office manager at Tops Friendly Markets at Transit and Maple in Amherst. She just competed and won the the Top's Regional Bagging competition and will soon head to Poughkeepsie, NY and the State Competition. Nikki says "I actually really liked bagging groceries when I was a cashier and I was good at it. I like Tetris and I like to organize things so I said let's just do this." She took home $250 and a trophy. If Nikki makes it to the Nationals in San Diego in February she'll be competing for ten thousand dollars. The bagging competition is based on "speed, weight and weight distribution and your personality." according to Nikki. So far it looks like the regional champion has this competition in the bag.
