Attorney General's office receives more than 1,000 price gouging complaints as Hurricane Dorian moves closer

Attorney General Ashley Moody opened up the price gauging hotline on Thursday and since then her office has been flooded with complaints. “We’ve had upwards of a thousand contacts regarding alleged price gauging,” Moody said on Friday. “Some though our hotline 1-8669-NO-SCAM and others through the price gauging app NO SCAM, which we created prior to hurricane season this year specifically to help us get the information we need to pursue those actors.”
