Pozo de Jacinto ~ Jacinto's Well

This is an ocean blowhole in the coastal town of Isabela. Legend has it that once a farmer was herding his cows and one night on his way back to his land property he passed by this rocky area and one of his cows disappeared in the darkness! He heard the cow mooing nervously and when he neared this open rock area to locate his animal he tripped and also fell in and drowned with his cow in the rough waters below! To this day it is a custom by locals who remember the legend to pass by and give tribute to the memory of that farmer by yelling into the ocean below "Jacinto, donde esta la vaca?" which translates to "Jacinto, where is the cow?" If you hear a "moo" respond to your question, I'd be scared, too!
