3 people, cat escape house fire on Ward Parkway

Three people and a cat safely escaped a house fire on Ward Parkway early Thursday morning. Firefighters were called to the scene in the 7800 block of Ward Parkway around 3:30 a.m. When they got there, they found flames shooting out of the garage, which was connected to the house.
