Trouble brewing at Waikiki Lanais

Association of Apartment Owners Waikiki Lanais voted to take at least $40,000 out of maintenance fees to hire an attorney for the right to allow some owners to continue with short-term rentals. Others argue the board should not have approved using maintenance fees to defend an illegal practice.
