Nye County denies permit for 'Peacestock 51'

Nye County officials confirm they have denied a permit request for the Peacestock 51 festival. The event was planned for September 20 and 21 in Crystal. Organizers were expecting thousands of people to attend. This event is different than the Alien Stock festival planned for the same weekend in Rachel. Both events came after a joke Facebook post that went viral threatening to storm the nearby Area 51 base.
