Affter being rescued in New York City, Rudy the Pit Bull enjoys a nice snack and lounges in a relaxing bath!

Wow! This is absolutely adorable. Rudy the rescued pit bull is combating the social prejudice surrounding this breed of dog. Pit Bulls have come to be known as aggressive and scary, yet look how happy Rudy is as she enjoys snacks and a nice relaxing bath.

Beings that Rudy is a rescue dog, theres no way of knowing what she had experienced before finding her forever home. Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation- S.N.A.R.R Animal Rescue Northeast afforded Rudy a second change at life by bringing her in, and affording her the opportunity to find a loving family.

SNARR Northeast is based out of Westchester County, New York, and was founded in 2011 by Courtney Bellew. Their mission is to help even the most hopeless of canines find a home. They take dogs with serious medical conditions, paralysis, deaf and blind issues, severely emaciated dogs and also dogs with neurological deficits and disease, injury and orthopaedic issues. Basically, this rescue group is taking on the hardest yet most hopeful task of all... saving animals who would otherwise be euthanized because they have been cast off as unwanted. Their claim is "Big, small, thin, fat, young, old, healthy or sick... SNARR will do their best." How incredible is that!

Without organizations like this existing in our world today, animal shelters would find themselves (more) overrun with animals worthy of a full loved life, yet in the predicament of euthanasia because no one had taken the opportunity to try to help. Due to the fact that the pit bull breed has gained quite a nasty reputation, they are the first to be neglected in shelters making it nearly impossible for them to find homes. It is only when a human is willing to put aside their preconceived notions of what they know about the animals themselves, and discover there is so much love and adoration yet to give.

Animals who are rescued in companions to ones that are bred to be bought may enable you to form a human-animal connection you never thought possible. When you rescue an animal after they've experienced hostility, abuse and maltreatment, they are so grateful for just about each and every moment you spend with them. Whether it is going for walks, feeding time or cuddling in bed. You will most likely find them smiling by your side.

If you've ever wanted to help animals, dogs or cats included, consider reaching out to a organization like the Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation- S.N.A.R.R Animal Rescue Northeast. These groups are usually in need of all the help they can get. If you can, make a donation. Participate in fundraising events and engage on their social media pages to help get their name out there. When more people are aware of these organizations and the miraculous ways they help animals, more people get involved. You could join even as a foster parent if you are unsure that you are ready to make the commitment of adopting.

Most importantly, being as there are so many animals in shelters in need of a safe home and love after being rejected, adopting them out of these organizations is the best way to keep them from being euthanized. It is important to research breeders and decide whether this is something you are wanted to contribute to. Dogs from rescues are just as beautiful if not more loving than anyone you've ever met! Just like Rudy!
