According to Business Insider, keto diets reduce carbs to around 5% of a person's daily calories.
That means healthy foods like beans, whole grains, and some vegetables are typically banned.
But kidney doctor Shivam Joshi says these items are "some of the most healthful foods on the planet" and shouldn't be avoided.
